Short and sweet
Shorts, umbrellas and sunsets in our short film programmes
For all lovers of short films, we have three programmes, all of which are available on IFFMH STREAM: As of today, our colleagues from Girls Go Movie are showing a special selection of films from the last five festival years. The festival includes a film coaching programme for girls and women aged 12 to 27 from Baden-Württemberg, Rhineland-Palatinate or Hesse.
Those who want to get a taste of our programme for the first time can buy individual digital tickets for titles from the RETROSPEKTIVE short film programme - for example, for Wim Wenders' ›Same Player Shoots Again‹ or ›The Groom, the Comedienne and the Pimp‹ by Jean-Marie Straub and Danièle Huillet, who here direct our resident saint Rainer Werner Fassbinder and his Munich Action Theatre.
And in our anniversary programme for the festival's 70th birthday, you'll find four exclusive short films by Queer Cinema from France (›Dustin‹), a Congolese perspective on the pandemic experience (›Home Sweet Home‹), an essay on first times (›First Time‹), to a film experiment on the interplay of norms, media and memory (›Centauress).
