Cutting Edge Talent Camp

Our CUTTING EDGE TALENT CAMP offers support for outstanding projects and talented filmmakers from Germany as they take their first steps towards international networking and production.

The Talent Camp is open to directors and producers who are studying or have studied at a German film or art academy and whose debut or second feature film is between financing, production and post-production.

In workshops, masterclasses and roundtables, the selected participants are invited to explore the potential of their work for the international market with players from the international cinema industry. Over the course of three days, they will get to know film festival curators and their work, discuss marketing and exploitation strategies with representatives from talent labs and co-production markets, film funding organisations, television broadcasters and world sales agents - and gain insights into the principles of sustainable production. Tailored to their individual needs, participants can exchange ideas with producers and receive support for the further development of their projects or prepare for the various stages of exploitation.

The Talent Camp is supported by the MFG Baden Württemberg, the BKM and takes place in cooperation with Next Mannheim and the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg.
