Oscar Nominations 2025

We are thrilled about 18 nominations from our 2024 programme

We are looking forward with excitement to the Oscars 2025 on 3 March. Some films from our festival programme from last year have promising chances.

First and foremost ›Emilia Pérez‹ by Jacques Audiard. The musical drama has been nominated for 13 Oscars: Best Film, Best Director, Best Actress in a Leading Role, Best Non-English Language Film, Best Supporting Actress, Best Adapted Screenplay, Best Editing, Best Score, Best Cinematography, Best Sound, twice for Best Song and Best Hair and Make-up.

We are also keeping our fingers crossed for ‘Memoir of a Snail’ by Adam Elliot and ‘Flow’ by Gints Zilbalodis - both films are candidates for Best Animated Film.

The German entry ‘Die Saat des heiligen Feigenbaums’ by Iranian director Mohammad Rasoulof can also hope to win an Oscar for Best Non-English Language Film.

‘A Real Pain’, the second directorial work by actor and filmmaker Jesse Eisenberg, is nominated for Best Original Screenplay. In this tragicomedy, Jesse Eisenberg explores his own Polish-Jewish roots. Kieran Culkin, who is nominated for Best Supporting Actor, plays alongside him.
