New Award for Acting

This year, we are presenting the “Young Actors Award” for the first time to recognize an outstanding acting performance. The new award is endowed with 10,000 euros and is sponsored by the consultancy firm cbs from Heidelberg. With the exception of the Retrospective, it will be awarded across all sections of the festival. From three nominated young actors who will be shown at the festival, the international jury will honor what it considers to be the most outstanding performance. The award will be presented during the Award Ceremony on November 14.

The complete program of the 73rd IFFMH will be published on 17 October. The three nominees for the new acting award will also be announced at the same time. Audiences in both cities can once again look forward to outstanding current films, a large number of international guests and a varied supporting program with panel discussions, parties and performances at the 73rd IFFMH from November 7 to 17.
