1967, Carnival Tuesday. 17-year-old Françoise attends a Catholic girls' school. Awakened from bad dreams, she is firmly convinced that she only has this one day left to live. Together with her best friend, she therefore decides to attend a fancy dress party where numerous men will be present. She wants to go all out on her last day. The two young women are taken to the party by a strange man. The trauma of the Algerian war flares up. Then, once at the party, Françoise meets a young man of her own age...
