IFFMH presents: ›Pacifiction‹ on 28 June

Apocalyptic Cinema: Benoît Magimel shines in the role of a French local politician in Tahiti. The fear of a resumption of French nuclear weapons tests looms on the horizon. Albert Serra's 'Pacifiction' screened very successfully at the IFFMH 2022. On 28 June, you can see it again at a public series on nuclear colonization in the Pacific organized by the Käte Hamburger Kolleg für Apokalyptische und Postapokalyptische Studien (CAPAS) at Heidelberg University. A politically highly topical film with a musically dense, spooky atmosphere.
