Grand IFFMH Award for Andrea Arnold

On Saturday evening, the audience in Mannheim and Heidelberg can expect two very special highlights: In Stadthaus N1 at 2:30 pm, guest of honour Bettina Brokemper will talk to the audience about her work as a producer in a master class. At 6pm, the Atlantis continues with the screening of Andrea Arnold's ›Fish Tank‹, one of her intimate portraits of female perspectives, for which the British director is world-famous. The director will also be presented with the Grand IFFMH Award at the screening. Immediately preceding at 3:30pm at Luxor 1 is ›Cow‹, a documentary in which Andrea Arnold empathically and unfussy poetically follows the life of a dairy cow. Be there!

In the ON THE RISE competition, director Oleh Sentsov presents his second feature film ›Rhino‹ about an anti-hero of organised crime who pays the price of violence. A tough portrait for die-hards that should definitely be experienced in the cinema.
