At the same time as the IFFMH, the short film festival GIRLS GO MOVIE took place for the 16th time.

In the Mannheim-based project, girls and young women aged 12-27 years are supported in their first steps in filmmaking. There are holiday camps, various film coaching sessions and a mentoring programme to provide individual advice or to accompany the respective project. The short film festival wants to offer the opportunity to "give the public an authentic and undisguised insight" into the reality of women's lives.
