Auction for the benefit of children in Ukraine
We auction off artworks by Ingo Siegner and Mehrdad Zaeri
Together with Ingo Siegner, the mastermind behind the books with the little dragon Coconut, and illustrator and storytelling artist Mehrdad Zaeri, we would like to make a contribution to solidarity with the people in Ukraine. As part of our 70th edition last November, three artworks each were created by the two, which we will now auction off in cooperation with the auction portal United Charity in aid of UNICEF's emergency aid for children in Ukraine. "The situation for the children is dramatic," says Michaela Bauer, Deputy Director of UNICEF Ukraine. "There is a lack of everything. Especially families with children on the run urgently need water, food and medical help."
The artworks are originals that form two series of three individual drawings each and will also be auctioned separately as such. Ingo Siegner's pictures naturally focus on the dragon Coconut. Mehrdad Zaeri's drawings, on the other hand, are emblematic of his creative process, in which he creates a story out of seemingly random shapes and lines. Both auctions will begin today, Friday 29 April, at 10.00 am. You can find the auction for Ingo Siegner HERE and the auction for Mehrdad Zaeri HERE. The duration of the auctions is three weeks. We will donate 100 per cent of the proceeds to UNICEF.
