50 times humanity
IFFMH honours Claude Lelouch with a tribute
Yesterday, Friday, French director Claude Lelouch was honoured at the screening of ›A Man and a Woman‹ at the Luxor Filmpalast Heidelberg. Lelouch's films are almost all love stories; his work dissects the basic forms of human coexistence and plays them out again and again in variations. Those who want to delve deeply into the work of the old master can do so at this year's homage. The international premiere of his 50th film on Sunday, ›Love is Better Than Life‹, also heralds the end of the 70th IFFMH as the Official Closing Film.
Due to last-minute changes in the planning of his upcoming theatrical release in France due to the current Corona situation, Claude Lelouch has to leave already today. The masterclass with Claude Lelouch planned for Sunday must unfortunately be cancelled for this reason. The director sincerely thanks the audience in Mannheim and Heidelberg for the great reception and said he is now returning to Paris as an ambassador for Mannheim and Heidelberg.
