Nobody likes to be ill. Moomin’s father also knows this and he helps his son pass the time by telling heroic stories from his adventurous youth. We are thus also told of his exciting escape from the orphanage, of dangerous sea voyages that took him all the way to heaven, and of the countless people he met on his travels, all of whom enriched his life in their own way. ›The Exploits of Moominpappa‹ is a film that seems like a collage come to life – through masterful animation, the colorful and lively Moominworld imagined by the writer Tove Jansson is brought to the screen.
