An outsider, a rare disease, and a deceitful plan. Tense, atmospherically dense, and visually impressive neo-noir thriller with echoes of ›Memento‹.

Regular blackouts and a general difficulty perceiving time are symptoms of Frankie’s illness. In order to help herself navigate the everyday despite this so-called dyschronometria, the young woman documents her life on audio cassettes. Her husband has apparently taken his own life and her seven-year-old daughter is in the care of her mother-in-law. One day at a self-help group, Frankie meets Paige, who makes her a financially attractive offer: for 3,000 dollars, she must steal Paige’s car back from her violent brother. As much as she needs the money, Frankie’s condition makes it difficult to carry out this plan. Moreover, there are increasing doubts about Paige’s version of the story.

A gripping thriller in wonderfully grainy 16mm images with echoes of New Hollywood and the paranoia genre.
