Light-hearted, empathetic story about a family of refugees who try to lead a regular family life in spite of their extreme situation.

"How do I speak to a girl?", 13-year-old Ramin asks his father. The boy has regular teenage problems, but he knows his parents are worried about the future. The family have fled Iran and now hope to have found a second home in rural Finland. Ramin and his sister have settled in quickly, while the parents try to make a home in the refugee shelter – even though their asylum application could be rejected any day. Hamy Ramezan gently depicts this limbo, giving the family space to be themselves. In doing so, he gives them back some normality, even allowing for Ramin's first crush: "Just look her in the eyes and smile," the father advises, quietly imparting a piece of wisdom.
