Michelle Carey

Michelle Carey is a festival curator, film journalist and programming consultant. She was the artistic director of the Melbourne International Film Festival from 2010 to 2018. Since moving to Europe, she has been a member of the selection committee for the Quinzaine des Réalisateurs in Cannes and a curator for the International Film Festival Rotterdam. She is also a programming consultant for the New York Film Festival. In 2017, she was awarded the Chevalier de l’ordre des arts et des lettres. She is a co-founder of Parenting at Film Festivals, an initiative of parents who attend film festivals professionally. She helped set up
