Yun-hua Chen

Yun-hua Chen, holding a PhD in Film Studies from the University of St Andrews (Scotland), is an independent film scholar, critic, and curator. She writes academic articles and film reviews in English, Chinese and German. Her articles can be found in Directory of World Cinema, Journal of Chinese Cinemas, Film International, Cinephilia and several edited volumes. Her monograph Mosaic Space and Mosaic Auteurs: Alejandro González Iñárritu, Atom Egoyan, Hou Hsiao-hsien, Michael Haneke, funded by Geschwister Boehringer Ingelheim Stiftung, has been published by Neofelis Verlag in Berlin in 2017.
She worked as the festival director of dokumentART and as a jury member at DOK Leipzig, Filmfest Hamburg and efp European Shooting Stars, among others.
