Petra Palmer
Programming Consultant
Petra Palmer studied theatre, film and media studies and philosophy in Frankfurt am Main and Berlin. She has been a member of the artistic management collective of the Berlin Critics' Week since 2020. From 2011-2015 she was on the selection committee of the Japanese film festival Nippon Connection in Frankfurt, in the programme department of the goEast film festival for Eastern and Central European film (2016-2017) and project and programme manager of the Jewish Film Festival Berlin Brandenburg (2018/2019). From November 2019-November 2020, she was head of the festival office of the German Film and Television Academy (DFFB). In addition to various retrospectives for Nippon Connection and the goEast film festival, she curated the retrospective La Factoría Querejeta - Elías Querejeta and Spanish Cinema 1963-1998 at the Zeughauskino.
She has been a programme consultant at the IFFMH since April 2023.
