Louise Malherbe

Louise Malherbe is a film programmer and film critic based in Marseille. She has been working as a film programmer and coordinator of industry training events for the Metropolis Cinema Association in Beirut since 2017, and programmed Soura Film Festival from 2019 to 2022. Additionally, she programs Cinema Akil, the only art-house cinema in the UAE, and writes film critics for Manifesto XXI, a digital queer and feminist publication. In 2022, she joined the Jocelyn Saab Association and coordinates the distribution of Saab’s newly restored heritage. She has curated several film programs for Aflamuna and Beirut DC among others.
